New Shed Cabinets

Last summer we put up a shed at our house to help store all the outside things we have. We got a row of lower cabinets the Ben got from a church remodel. There's lot of room but that row of cabinets is our only storage space for the little things. My dad brought us some upper cabinets he had that were spares. Today we put them up and cleaned up the shed and oh my does it look better! You can actually walk around in there. So thank you dad for thinking of us when you had those spare cabinets, they really helped our storage needs!

Dezi

Dezi is the newest addition to our little family. Peachy our Australian shepherd, border collie mix has been well documented on this blog. We have been wanting to get a buddy for her for a while. Ben decided he didn't care to have two dogs riding around in the back of his truck all the time so we discussed different dogs that would be content to stay in the yard. Our final decision was a mini dachshund. We got her Wednesday night. She is six weeks old and was scared to first night we brought her home. She has gotten more accustomed to her new surroundings and is the sweetest little dog. Her and Peachy are great buddies and she loves to cuddle with me. She has already had a few little adventures around her with us and I think she's really going to like it here.

Ditch Boarding...

in February. I was not a participant, it was Ben who thought it was a great way to spend part of the afternoon. It was raining and very dreary outside and that must have said ditch boarding to him. He came in soaked and cold but happy. More power to him. I'm happy to stay inside.

Valentine's Weekend

This Valentine's weekend was great! My Dad, Mom, and youngest sister came down to hang out on Saturday afternoon. The boys shot guns while the girls went for a walk around the ponds that have water in them this year. It makes it feel like we live at a wildlife preserve because of all the birds.

My parents had said they wanted to hang out and then take us out to dinner. They have never let me cook for them because they don't want to be a bother. I decided I would just get stuff ready so they could not say no. Below is my table for five.

Sunday we decided to do a picnic lunch country style. We took the gator and drove over by a canal where water is flowing through. We sat and had our sandwiches overlooking our "river" and enjoying the beautiful sunny day.
